The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) arrests a lot of people for not keeping their hands to themselves; however, in this case, a 56-year-old resident of Lakeland was found keeping his hands to himself in a way he shouldn’t have been — by playing with himself at a public park’s playground.
According to the release from PCSO, a deputy responded to the playground located at Hunt Fountain Park on Duff Road in North Lakeland around 12:23 pm on January 6, 2025 after receiving a report that a man, later identified as Michael Bandy, had exposed and began doing things to himself in front of a woman and her 4-year old child.
Apparently, this isn’t Michael Bandy’s first rodeo. PCSO report that the 56-year-old has two previous convictions from 2023 and 2024 for lassoing his snake in public. The Bandy was quickly arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail, where he is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
Bandy again faces charges for Exposure of Sexual Organs with a Prior Conviction, a third degree felony, and Lewd & Lascivious Behavior in the Presence of a Minor, a second degree felony. His punishment could include up to 15 years in prison alongside a fine of up to $10,000.
PCSO also trespassed Michael Bandy from the entirety of Hunt Fountain Park on Duff Road; officials encourages anyone who may spot him on the property again in the future to report him to local Polk authorities. Contact information can be found online at PolkSheriff.org/contact-us.
